    derekelgeek asked:

I purchased Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition for the XBox 360. I installed the game and played for a week or two. The “game play” disc has since become cracked and unusable. The second disc that contained the expansion games is unharmed, however the “game play” disc is needed to play the game. I am wondering if I can purchase a standard Fallout 3 disc (which is now much cheaper) or do I have to purchase another copy of the Game of the Year Edition in order to play my existing saved games? Thanks.
I suppose I could always start over from scratch. If I did start over with the Fallout 3 (non GOTY edition) could I still use the expansions from the second disc of the GOTY edition?

GOTY = Game of the Year
I can confirm that it indeed does work. I purchased Fallout 3 and I was able to play my saved games from Fallout 3 GOTY edition.
